I began drawing mazes in high school. I started drawing them again after going through a divorce as I was attempting to find a way to express my thoughts and feelings. These mazes are very personal to me and became a diary of where I was at or am now.
Friends who saw them wanted copies to attempt to work them out. Through, word of mouth, more people wanted to attempt them and in 1985 I self-published my first book.
Although I have taken a few art classes I have no formal training in art.
I now have 6 books, note cards, postcards, prints, tote bags, tee shirts and the original draws available for purchase. Visit My Website for More
I am currently working on a seventh book.
Steven J Natanson was born in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of five his family moved to Northern California. I have lived in Texas, New Mexico and currently reside in Charlestown Rhode Island.
I started taking photographs at a very young age, borrowing cameras from my parents. At the age of 8 I was given my first of many cameras. In my 12th summer, while attending summer camp, I received his first exposure to a darkroom. That autumn I bought and set up my own darkroom. In the 70’s I acquired an Olympus OM-2, one of many cameras in my current collection. This was to be my main camera until 2009 when I purchased a Nikon D-90.
A life long photographer I am now showing my work on the web and galleries in Rhode Island.
